Tidal Wave 14 Postponed to 2021
First and foremost, we hope that everyone is safe and healthy in these unprecedented times. It is overwhelming to fathom a world pandemic happening in our current time. For 14 years, Tidal Wave has provided the bear community an opportunity to come together just as we are and to celebrate friendships old and new. All of you have supported our endeavors with open arms, patience, understanding, some bitching (lol), but most of all … with love. We feel very blessed to know that most of you who started out as Tidal Wave guests, have become personal friends, allies, and have embraced us as family members.
Since the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended that all events of 10 or more people, occurring over the next few months, should be postponed or rescheduled, social distancing guidelines have been established and given the global travel restrictions, we have decided to postpone Tidal Wave 14 until June 3-7, 2021. As you know, Tidal Wave is labor of love for us and we did not come to this decision easily. We hope that this worldwide pandemic will subside, and we did consider rescheduling it for later in the year (based on input from many of you), but with all the uncertainty about the progression of the virus and when things will return to “normal” we just aren’t comfortable rescheduling the event for later this year. We want to ensure that everyone has as much time as possible to adjust their plans.
We have been working with EXPO PASS (our ticket vendor) and the B Resort & Spa to ensure that this transition will be as smooth as possible. As a result of these conversations, we are able to provide two options. Please read the following information carefully to ensure you do not incur additional costs:
Move your 2020 Tidal Wave tickets and B Hotel Reservations to 2021 – Must Act by March 31
We are pleased to announce that we were able to negotiate current contract room pricing with the B Resort. If you maintain your 2020 Tidal Wave tickets & hotel room reservation as is, we will transfer both ticket and hotel room type for 2021, ensuring that current pricing structure is honored, as long as you tell us by March 31. If you want to transfer your 2020 Tidal Wave ticket(s) to 2021, you are able do so without incurring any additional fees. Please note: You must maintain your Tidal Wave ticket to hold your hotel room. If you cancel your Tidal Wave tickets you will automatically forfeit your room reservation as well.
Cancel Your 2020 Room and Tickets and Get a Refund – Must Act by March 31
Those guests who want to cancel their Tidal Wave tickets and get a refund, need to do so NO LATER than March 31, 2020. Any cancellations after March 31, 2020 will incur a 4.95% processing fee as our contract with EXPO PASS will change as of April 1, 2020. If you cancel your Tidal Wave tickets you will automatically forfeit your room reservation(s) as well. You will need to rebook both your hotel room and Tidal Wave tickets for 2021.
For those of you staying at our overflow hotel, The Double Tree Hotel, and are NOT cancelling your tier ticket(s) or room reservation(s), we (Tidal Wave) will offer you first choice of available cancelled rooms at the B Resort, on a first come, first serve basis (based on timestamps from your original ticket purchase). If you are planning to move to the B Hotel from the Doubletree Hotel, you must adhere to the 4-night minimum stay.
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below or the FAQ page for details.

Tidal Wave Party Postponement FAQ
Will Tidal Wave 14 take place in 2020?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T10:45:54-04:00
No. The uncertainty of this pandemic, along with the financial concerns related to it, we feel postponing Tidal Wave to 2021 is in the best interest of all. As a result, we needed to make this decision now (March 2020) to give people plenty of time to change their plans.
Can I wait to decide until after March 31 whether I want to cancel my ticket/hotel reservation or roll my plans forward to 2021?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:58:16-04:00
You can, however, you will be charged the 4.95% processing fee for your Tidal Wave ticket. The hotel will be taking the first round of new deposits on March 1, 2021 (failing to cancel before this time, you will incur the first line of deposits). We apologize for the short notice on making this decision. We need to hear from everyone by March 31, 2020 due to the contracts we have with the hotel and the Tidal Wave ticketing company.
I plan to come to the postponed event June 3-7, 2021. What do I need to do?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:58:12-04:00
On or before, March 31, 2020, just send us an email at email@example.com.
In the subject line, put “Count me in for 2021!”.
In the email, please include your name, email address, phone number, your Confirmation number for your Tidal Wave ticket, and your hotel name and confirmation number for your hotel reservation.
We will hold your ticket payment and the B Hotel will issue a refund for your current room deposit within 60 days. The first night deposit for 2021 will be due March 1, 2021. The second night deposit will be due May 1, 2021. You will get the same ticket(s) and room reservation at the B Hotel that was confirmed for 2020. Your ticket price(s) and room rate will be exactly the same as in 2020.
**The 2021 ticket and hotel confirmation numbers will remain the same in 2020**
Important Note: Please do not contact the B Hotel directly to cancel or rebook your room.
I don’t think I can make it to Tidal Wave in 2021. I’d like refunds for the Tidal Wave Ticket(s) and my B Hotel deposit. What do I do?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:58:07-04:00
In the subject line, put “Cancel My Ticket and B Hotel Reservation”.
In the email, please include your name, email address, phone number with area code, your Confirmation number for your Tidal Wave ticket, and the confirmation number for your hotel reservation.

What happens if I can’t find my confirmation ID for the tickets or the B Hotel reservation confirmation number?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:58:00-04:00
Your Content Goes HereThe confirmation for the Tidal Wave Tickets would have been sent to you in an email from “ExpoPass“. The confirmation ID is seven characters (letters and numbers) and appears at the top, middle portion of the page.
The confirmation for the B Hotel reservation would have been sent to you in an email from “firstname.lastname@example.org“. The confirmation # is 12 characters (numbers and letters) in length and appears in the top 1/3 of the page just below the “itinerary number”.

Can I get my Tidal Wave ticket refunded, but keep my hotel room OR can I get my B Hotel room deposit back, but keep my Tidal Wave ticket?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:57:56-04:00
We’d love to have you at Tidal Wave 2021, but if you cancel your plans now, we cannot reactivate your ticket order or hotel reservation from Tidal Wave 2020. You would have to order new tickets and make new hotel reservations at the time you decide to attend and those would all be subject to availability and 2021 pricing.
When will registration open for Tidal Wave 2021?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:57:45-04:00
If you are not cancelling your plans, we will offer you the opportunity to move into one of the cancelled rooms at the B Hotel on a first-come, first-served basis (based on the time stamp of your original ticket purchase). If you are planning to move to the B Hotel from the Doubletree Hotel, you must adhere to the 4-night minimum stay.
If I can’t get my flight refunded by the airline, will Tidal Wave reimburse me for my airfare?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:55:34-04:00
Fortunately, most airlines are providing refunds or credits toward future flights. Just be sure to notify your airline right away of your change in plans to maximize your options. If you forget to cancel your flight, some may not refund your money or provide a credit. Unfortunately, Tidal Wave is not in a position to reimburse you for your airfare or other travel expenses.
Will the 2021 Tidal Wave event still include an option for a water park party?supertidaladmin2020-03-28T12:56:09-04:00
Our intent is to develop an event very similar to what we were planning for 2020. Of course, things can change in a year, but we will adjust accordingly to make sure we provide the kind of experience you’d expect at Tidal Wave.
No worries and we apologize for any stress this change may cause. Just send us an email at email@example.com and outline any questions/concerns you may have and we will be glad to address those. It may take a few days, depending on the volume of emails we receive, but we WILL get back to you. We promise.
